This series is made up of the administrative records of the Federation which include correspondence, memoranda, minutes of the board of directors, grant applications, reports, financial records, and newsclips. Also included are general administrative files concerning the Federation's member organizations and affiliate bodies as well as organizations which co-ventured with the Federation in housing and community development projects. Files detail various attempts to address the deterioration of North Central Philadelphia such as industrial redevelopment plans, low- and moderate-income housing developments, housing rehabilitation, shared housing, cooperative housing, home improvement loan progams, emergency home heating programs, tool lending libraries, and community gardens.
